The PEUSA project launch workshop

The National Agency for the Regulation of Nuclear and Radiological Activities participated, between December 16-17, 2025, in the launch workshop of the PEUSA - Preparation for EURATOM Safeguards Alignment project, organized by the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission, in Karlsruhe, Germany.

The objective of the event was to initiate the preparation process for the alignment of candidate and potential candidate countries to EURATOM requirements nuclear guarantees, as well as the strengthening of technical cooperation with relevant European institutions.

ANRANR's participation contributed to strengthening the institutional capacity and defining the next steps for the transposition of the legislation, the development of the State System of Evidence and Control (SSAC) and the preparation for the effective implementation of the EURATOM acquis, in the context of the accession process of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union.
